I have my confirmation on my phone or printed out on paper, may I go directly to the departure gate?

To better serve our guests, there is a check-in desk located near the escalators coming from the parking lot area and Kellogg Street.  Seating is assigned by car to alleviate crowding conditions on the train.  Boarding passes with assigned car will be exchanged for your paper print out or after scanning your phone for the ticket confirmation.  This also allows us to track traffic trends and determine possible improvements to train schedule times.  We certainly appreciate your assistance by checking-in prior to going to the board gate so we can determine our actual ridership.

Are there restrooms on the train?

While there is a restroom on the train, we strongly suggest that passengers allow extra time to use the restrooms located near the check-in desk at Union Station.

My child is under 2, do I need a ticket?

Yes, EVERY passenger needs a ticket, this is to make sure Santa has plenty of goodies for everyone.

I lost my email with my QR Code/Tickets!

Email us at Store@261.com with your full name, email, and how many tickets purchased, and we will resend you your confirmation email.

Do I need to print my tickets?

No, you do not need to print your tickets. Just show us the QR Code at the Ticket Counter located in the Concourse and you will receive collector tickets to board the train.

Do you resell ‘No Show’ tickets?

While we would love to sell no show tickets, once the train has left the platform we are no longer able to board it.

When do trains depart?

Trains depart on time! Gates close 5 min prior to departure! For example, If you have a 6:30 train that means gate closes at 6:25 and train is leaving. Please arrive with plenty of time for parking and walking. Trains will not be held for late arriving passengers.

How early should I arrive?

Please allow plenty of time to travel, park and walk to the Ticket Check in counter in Union Depot. We recommend 30 to 45 min prior to your departure time.  There are many one-way and limited-access streets around Union Depot.  Once you arrive at Union Depot plan on walking – the majestic building covers several city blocks! Other special events at Union Station such as the CP Holiday Train, Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, evening movies, bake sales and other programs will cause parking congestion and slow foot traffic due to crowds and additional travel time should be allowed during these times. It is also wise to allow additional time when the weather is bad and during rush hour traffic.

Where do I park?

There are three parking lots at Union Depot St. Paul, for a map click here

Is the train ADA accesible?

There is limited accessibility on the train. We do request that you arrive with extra time so we may assist you safely as possible, and email us at Store@261.com to notify us of what train time and day you are riding so we may be best prepared for your arrival.
