The bar and café area is exceptionally well equipped, with six refrigerators, four freezers, and an additional glass-door refrigerator above the café line—providing ample space for food and beverage storage throughout your journey. Just beyond the bar, a spacious restroom offers a convenient place to freshen up while en route.

• Built in 1953 by St. Louis Car Company for the U.S… Army as Army hospital car #89536.
• Acquired by Amtrak in 1973 and reconfigured in May 1974 to a Le Pub cafeteria lounge and numbered #3408
• In April 1980, it was rebuilt with head-end electrical power and renumbered 3103
• Friends of the 261 in 2009 acquired the car. It’s interior was renovated, renamed in the “Valley” series after the Milwaukee Road’s series of eight “straight” parlor cars built for Hiawatha and Varsity (Chicago-Madison) service in 1948.
• Sold into private ownership in 2015, who made major modifications and interior renovations to the car.
• Inheritaed back by the Friends of the 261 in 2023.
