Took my daughter and her girls 10 & 5 on the Cedar Rapids from Chicago to St. Paul last may, it was my second trip. They were all VERY impressed. As we entered the Cedar Rapids, the 5 yr. old said Oh Poppy, this is BEAUTIFUL!
I have photos of them relaxing in the reclining seats & in the dome. They even enjoyed the snacks & food, loved the open door in the baggage car, and really enjoyed the early Spring scenery along the way. I hope to get my son & his 3 boys to make the trip in 2017. I can’t recommend this trip enough!

We traveled the 261 on a day trip about a decade ago from Kenosha to Staunton and back. We enjoyed the day immensely! We would be interested in schedules and tickets for any 2017 rides on the 261 or any other steam locomotive pulling the antique cars.
