Milwaukee Night at Model Railroad Club

Final Night Trains

Join the Friends of the 261 & the Twin City Model Railroad Museum on a special Saturday night “excursion” to see the final episode of Night Trains for the 2011-2012 season on Saturday, February 25. Featuring The Milwaukee Road for the entire day, the TCMRM and Friends will further emphasize the Milwaukee Road (including models of the 261) on many of the layouts that will be operating that evening under “moonlight” conditions. TCMRM is located in the former Northern Pacifics Como Shops, along Energy Drive between Snelling and Lexington Avenues (MAP) and operates model railroad layouts in multiple scales at Bandana Square and the Chimney’s Building. One of the layouts at the Chimney’s Building even has an O Scale version of the Milwaukee Depot in downtown Minneapolis.

Night Trains is an annual popular Holiday Season event that runs every Saturday night from the last Saturday of November through the last Saturday of February. This season Night Trains drew over 5600 people to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum.

Friends of the 261 will have a booth at the Museum that evening to promote membership in RHMA and the upcoming excursions. This will be a joint fund raiser for both organizations.
